A day which will live in memory....Do you recognize any of these "younger" faces? Aboard the USS MAINE in the summer of 1998. We were invited to sail aboard her and spent the entire day at sea. We submerged to the hull number and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Much to the consternation of the crew, I'm sure. They were most hospitable, fed us royally and treated us to a life time experience. A unforgettable day indeed. We'll except for some of the guests. I'll leave that for you to decide.....

Holy **** Gene, I was just thinking about this! I still have the VCR tape of the trip, and I still have to get it converted to DVD... I remember this like it was yesterday! This event was one of those "I'll never forget til the day I die" events. In post 9/11, I'm sure the chances of getting a ride like this are slim to none. I still have my "shot glass" and the boat's photo signed by the captain and XO are above my modeling desk. That was a great day. A long one, but damn, it was fun!

Indeed. Good time. And I did not stand a watch, handle stores, or do a field-day.
