    The Sub-Pository Directory

    Fellow Submariners,
Over time there has been been many issues of one sort or another posted to the various areas of the forum board.
Many of those posts concern the electronic devices used to power a submarine and various applications and conflicts relating to one or more of the components thereof. Generally, after a review of the issue at hand, suggestions and further postings by others who may have experienced such issues then follow along providing their own interpretaion and recourse they (the modeler) may have followed to address such concerns.
With input of the many throughout the world who now use this forum board, I was hopeful we may gather a repository of such information, or( Sub-Pository ) so to speak, LOL. This specific info. would be directly related to the individual modelers personal application of equipment used to power his/her own submarine model. As such this info. would further expand on the problem solving inquiry and responses, and address the various components by which when assembled as a working unit were found to work well within the confines of the motor compartment. eg. The specific type of motor/s, esc, pitch control, fail safe or combination thereof, manufacturer and freq. of a particular receiver used, servo info. etc. all of which are either presently being used or have been used in the past may also provided for future referencing. Scale and type of submarine the equipment was used in would certainly be relevant.
Any such details which may be offered to describe the inner workings of their model, and attribute to what may be considered for the most part a sound running boat should be included as well. This a guide that may serve as a reference which may or may not be followed by newcomers and others as well, but by no means limiting the individual modelers prerogative to expand on and use other equipment as they feel comfortable, and best suited to there individual needs obviously.

The Sub-Pository , may hopefully be established as a specific link on the Caswell Forum Board to enter and consolidate such information. I may be wrong, but I find that much of the discussion in particular relating to various issues of device compatibilty, setup, and other issues and concerns of a submarine propulsion system has been addressed here and there on the forum and sometimes difficult to located or keep track of, and at times may even become redundant in nature. The Sub-Pository would permit a sourse of positive action and recourse as related by the membership and others to refer to, and a means to determine what equipment has already been tried and proven in the field and be considered to work well with one another in a best case scenario. Just a thought for consideration.
What say ye, Mike -David and members ?

So into short terms, present a summary of your stuff which you've stuffed inside your submarine, resulting into a good running model, i like the idea.

Indeed, and in a nutshell, Manfred. Nice to read you agree, but maybe many feel otherwise, incl. the management.
What the hey, it was just a thought. However, I have to wonder at the usefulness of links such as "Battleship War" which has had 5 threads and 17 posts since 2009. and if the space taken up on the forum couldn't better be utilized. Then again of the folks who have read this post I don't see that it matters one way or another, as you have been the only one to have even take the time to respond. LOL

            Al,
I think it is a good idea as well.
            Peace,
            Tom
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.
