        Like our P-3's, derived from the Electra airliner, the Brit's drastically altered their basic Comet airliner into the maritime beast of today, called the Nimrod.

          Twenty five years ago, I saw one of these land at Gibraltar (Parachute aided. manoeuvre due to the short length of the airfield). When crossed the air track bounded to the city (walking), the plane was at parking area, and two torpedoes were unloded form its bomb bay. Sadly, no photos cause taking them wasn't allowed.
