    Subsail 2012 Biddinghuizen Netherlands

Some foreplay for you guys, charging up all the boats and cleaning when needed.

Gave the type VIIC a clean up with some water and did the technical check up.

Charging the V80 and both of the transmittors on the workingbench.

The SD for the type 212 is ready and charged.

The little Marder is also getting some juice.

Tomorrow i'll head off to the submeeting, weather forecast is good and i'll make some pics and video's to show off, be patient.

    Greetings Manfred.

Yesterday was a great day, meeting up with some old friends and made some new, i made some pictures, but most of the time i was driving my boats, a fellow subbuilder made a nice vid, with some action from the type 212.
I'll sort out some pictures made by me and my fellowbuilders, be patient.

As a starter i've got the video for you, enjoy.

    Greetings Manfred.

Looks like you are in the company with quite a few skilled model builders. On the table sat quite a few boats that appear to be home made. I especially like the large Russian VICTOR that I saw on the table.

Yep, most of the guys are from the 80's, they build just like me their own models, if you want to have something special you have to build it by your own.
Besides the Victor there is a guy that's building a wopping 2 meter Foxtrot, they are the guys from which i learned the trick of the trade, i took some pictures from his boat, i guess it will take him a full year building to get her running, he is starting with adding the details to the hull.
He used a 10 cm diameter WTC with bajonetlock through the boat, with 3 brushless motors to run the beast, lots of space to add everything he needs, also splitted up the boat into three parts to gain better access and userfriendly transport.

I will ask if they are interested, but most of the old guys are not active on the internet like most of us, i have to much pictures to post in one time, so i will do it bit by bit.

            Type 212 scale 1:40

            Big and small together.

As you can see there is a lot of homebrewed stuff, most of the guys are experienced self builder and now their stuff.

            Greetings Manfred.

                      Next batch of pictures,

A lovely Type 23, nice size and still in the works of finishing.

This is the wopping 2 meter long Foxtrot, still a lot of work to finish her, he uses a WTC inside, so the weight will be lower as my Type VII, made it into three parts for better transport and access to the inside.

Believe it or not this Biber is scale 1:35, has to dive dynamicly because of it's size, reminds me of a Seehund scale 1:35 which i still have gathering dust.

A totally different model, i've seen it driving underwater and it looks so real.

This guy builds his subs from PVC tubing, added a camera for underwater footage.

The owner of the dutch Walrus X tail sub, crammed with pneumatic systems.

                      Greetings Manfred.

Thanks David, you'll understand that posting more pictures will consume precious time from the launcher project, which is progressing nicely, but here we go!!!

Two 212 brothers at peroscope depth.

The guy from the big 212 uses a system from Engel to get a very accurate depth adjustment.

A nicely build neptune, complete with camera system in the nose cone.

Still snooping around with our 212 types.

From the same guy with this type 212 i've got the design for the antenna lift, he actually has this inside this sub.

A very accurate build type IX, i've seen the size and it can be compared to my type VII, around 2 meters.

This kind of pictures makes all the trouble building this boats worth.

One of the goals organising these days is, to catch the interest of the young one's, they can be the future builders, so let's inspire the little guys.

Another shot of the PVC subs, well designed, and kept very simple, just to prove that building subs doesn't have to be complicated.

                          Greetings Manfred.
