Yes, Matt Thor has plans to produce a hull and had actually started work but Ill health has interfered. Perhaps in the Future.

Actually this would be the perfect candidate for a plastic injected kit, especially with all those detail parts, rivets & all. I do hope some American model manufacturer decides to take it on one of these days. HINT! HINT!

there's a 1:72 Combat Models Vac form......plenty of work in doing one of those.

Interesting. What do you mean plenty of work? Are the details in the hull good or non-existant? Is it a accurate rendering?

I think the model in the S Boat photo collection is built from it.

I'd describe the detail as 'soft', the vac plastic is thin. There's two options for tower and deck extensions. It looks accurate to the drawings supplied with it but I have no others to compare it with. It looks like an S Boat to me.

Maybe other links aren't welcome here but google should getcha there.

All things considered, Mario did a fantastic job. Combat Models kits ARE THE WORST!!!!! (Well, maybe a close second to Bad Ship Models ... what's in a name!?)
