Need picture of a type II bridge deck

Im scratch building a type II in 1/24 scale and need a detailed picture of the bridge deck. I have a Special Navy 1/72 boat but it doesent depict the deck accurately. If there arn't any pics available, perhaps a Sheerline PE tower deck close up will do.

Which Type II are you looking for? A, B, C, or D?
The ones shown so far are from an A or the Vessiko, a pre-A.

Good pic of the hatch and attack scope and bridge helm Thanks. Ive been trying to see some of the wood deck plates that were on the steel framework on the early A &B boats. The Vesiko's bridge doesnt have the wood deck inserts anymore. My boat is metal and wood construction so the decks are steel and wood as on the real boats. The deck in the control room in the tower is diamond plate and on mine its a piece of alumnium with a small net from a garlic bag stretched over wet primer on the deck. Then I spray it again with the final coat of primer. When you paint it the finshed color coat you can put some graphite on a q tip and skuff it to give it the dirty look from wear around the hatch. Soon as my camera is fixed I will be posting pics of the build. Looks like Im going to have to re do my ladder's steps

                  Hi
if you want to model the Uboat tower decking with a bit less work look for wooden ship hatch graiting. Used to be available in wood pre-cut just slot it together try this link

scale model boat fittings ship gratings for model boats and model ships in plastic and wood for radio control and static display model boat kits

that poor guy is disgusted. They ran aground last night on the surface, crossing the shoal, now the sun has come up and the tide is comming in. Hes up on the step because its rising fast. The W O has just asked the LT if he closed the hatch when he came up on watch. ????

A picture is worth a thousand words Eh? I figured that they were testing submarine function and trim.

Roger that, on the balast check. Thats what it most likely is happening. I was just being sarcastic. Actually I have seen that series of Pics But dont remember where I saw them. There are several of them from different angles, in the series and I believe there was a caption telling who they were and what they were doing at the time.

Yes, I just picked it up the other day as a matter of fact. What I do is I do a Google search of images for a type 2 german submarine and then click on any medium or large picture that I fancy and save it if it will let me. Then I click on the site that that picture came from and then explore all the pictures that they have until I have got to them all. Then I back out of there and go back to the Google pictures and go to the next one.

Likewise, I backtrack the immage to find the better resolution. Im sure your aware of the subsim forum, under the general topic section there is a thread "your u boat pictures" that has almost every boats picture, all in one spot. Usually, I check there for a distinguishing marking or configguration that IDs the boat in question to get the U number then google the boat to see if there are more pictures in the u boat archives or U Bootwaffe.net ect.
