Went to CES today, some cool stuff.
Talked to a vendor about Nickel batteries, these are bigger batteries, but rechargeable and “no explosion” [his words]. Each battery is 1.65v and 10 Ah! So on a big sub fitting 5 for 8v or 7 for 11.5v is very doable. The battery looked like a C cell, but longer by 1/2 more.
Carvera (sp?) is a 4 axis cnc machine. It has its own auto tool changer with built in calibration. There is a smaller version (not as accurate and manual tool change) that is being aimed at the education market and the hobbyist. The automated one is selling for $4k -ish show price and the smaller one is $1.5k
i will post photos later when I can.
Have not seen any drones yet, maybe tomorrow.
