    Where are they now?

Too hot here in Arizona to work in our garage so work on my Tucson model is on hold for awhile.

Over the years I've built and passed on several models. The first model I did back in the 90's was a 1/96 Blueback.

I wonder where it is now. Is it still out there?

Good looking work there. Museum quality, indeed!

One of my next subs was a Lee Upshaw Alfa I got from a fellow in Canada who wasn't able to complete the assembly. After working with it for a few weeks I finally got the hull to line up to my satisfaction. I ran it as a dynamic driver with a WTC (precursor to the Sub Driver) in our neighborhood pool. It was a fun boat to run but I eventually let it go to someone who hopefully had lot's of fun with it.

My first RC sub was a Thor Permit. I was lost at first about how to assemble the electronics in the WTC (pre Sub Driver) but with some help from guys on this site I got it done and it ran fine. Later I turned it into a display model for my office.

Permit eventually to someone in the Carolina's.

I wonder where it is now.

Your work is gorgeous! All three boats are wonderfully done and show what great detail can go into a submarine. I am building a 1/48 scale Barbel but I certainly will not show it to you when it's done! I was able to see the Blueback in Portland last fall, It's a really nicely done exhibit!

Thanks, I'll be looking for your build of Barbel. Don't keep it hidden. My tour of OMSI's Blueback really got me started building many years ago.

Seeing Bart working on his Victor III again was really great. He does amazing work.

My Victor III from years ago was a fun build and run but it went to someone back East. Wonder where it is now.
