I dont much go in for pre WW2 stuff but these pictures of the V series US subs from the 1930s are great. Nice and clear and detailed. These subs would make a great sub to model.........hint....................hint.
The V4 was a dedicated mine layer built in the late 1920s. In a few of the stern pictures you can see the dual mine tubes under the fantail. By the time of hostilities it had been relagated to transport duties. It was caught and sunk by the Japanese in 1943, killing 105 men.
