  • 8 Window Seaview Color Difference

As I understand it, the color for the Seaview eight window is a Ford gray with a white bottom. However, the color for the Seaview in Admiral Nelson’s office in the movie, was a dark gray rather glossy. Can anyone comment on the two color differences and what is the color that they prefer.
Of the 40,000 men who served on German submarines, 30,000 never returned.”

The different shades of gray between the two is owing to the 'Irwin Allen disconuity effect'.

Go with the lighter shade of gray.

Very nice shots of that sub David. Is that one you made for yourself or someone else? What has become of it?

        Good morning, Steve.

This is one of three Mobius SEAVIEW kits I assembled and converted to r/c (the movie and TV ones are mine, and a RTR'nd a TV SEAVIEW for Mike back in the day). https://youtu.be/CxfA5d2L0BA

This is the DeBoer 'Concept-2 SEAVIEW' I worked up for me. https://youtu.be/T5rVYcF6Yew https://youtu.be/YQhwInH3zEY

And this is an assembled and r/c'ed DeBoer Hulls 54" TV SEAVIEW we sold as a RTR.

Don't be too tough on my Bacon munching-squid throwing-white wildebeest from the Great North buddy, Rick Teskey. That guy is one of the model SEAVIEW God's of this game. He's been longer at it than anyone in this hemisphere other than maybe Ray Mason. We stand on his shoulders when it comes to things SEAVIEW. Rick and Garry Kerr had a big part in getting the shape of the Mobius kits right, and he's produced his own line of varied scale SEAVIEW's and FS-1's.

I assembled his FS-1 kit a few decades ago.

Now that we've raised the gates so you horrible Canadian's can once again invade our country, do work to make the Red Clay event a few months from now, Rick. Would be swell seeing you again, pal.
