Vessiko was really the first German type II. It was manfg. for the Finnish navy so that Germany(in secret) could build and test submarines that the treatys prohibited. The only real difference between the Vessiko and the first type IIs was that Vessiko had a revited hull. Some of these pictures are somewhat on the small side.

Another difference between the Vessiko and the German production type IIs was the sail. The type IIs sail reminds me of a chariot out of Ben Hur or the Ten Commandments

Special Navy announced a 1:72 Vessiko that's now expected to be out this Spring. it seems credible, since their Type IIA has many of Vessiko's details.

Good news, since there haven't been many 1:72 sub releases in quite a while.
