    NK Sub base island

I always find looking at North Korea on wikimapia fascinating. Check out this sub base

Wikimapia is an online editable map - you can describe any place on Earth. Or just surf the map discovering tonns of already marked places.

Tried opening the link without using my VPN & found it blocked. Guess the PSB doesn't want me to snoop on our "friendly" neighbors to the northeast.

Just the standard site unavailable notice you see on a browser when the connection is reset.

            The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

            * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
            moments.

            * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
            connection.

            * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

We've been seeing far too many of these lately, especially if you are a Google user.

Well let me describe what your missing.
Its a big island with the Dear Leader's defunct yet dangerous Navy lives.
The satellite photo shows where we should send the Tomahawks ops sorry - where there could be some sort of coincidental accident.

I want to wander around that island with beer in hand. They should leave NK the way it is, and just make it a theme park.

A friend went to NK last year on a tourist trip, he got some interesting photos, looks 70/80's, most people wearing uniform or national dress, (obviously staged), so it all just looks wierd

I know, Its a pet project of mine virtual visiting that place. I have watched about everything there is on NK and the dear leaders (lol). Its like the moon, you can look but never go there. Almost like a time capsule too. If I was asian I would infiltrate that place and document it! Go find Joe Dresnok and crash at his place.

Get a visa and go!! but you are unlikely to see the real country

and you will be watched like a hawk!

There have been a few incidents with south korean tourists being lured into conversations where they have said something to the effect that 'life's better down south" and promptly been locked up for spreading false truth's.

The rulers are like children controlling younger children. simple lies work really well, until you come up against an adult, and saying that "the teapot broke itself", doesn't cut it anymore.

Put yourself in their shoes for a moment, the rulers know the truth, they know the rest of the world is far more developed, they know that since the break up south korea has become an industrial and financial success. If this information reached the masses the whole dear leader thing would be blown, they would have riots far beyond what we are seeing in north africa right now. They must keep a tight lid on it, but with technology spreading faster and faster, they must lose their grip at some point. Hence this dogged resistance for talks, and their sabre rattling. On top of the NK's wanting to keep it under wraps, the last thing China needs is a unified Korea, major industrial companies like Samsung and Hyundai with a sudden low cost workforce not just on their doorstep, but sat in their front room.

no point dropping bombs on them, the place will self destruct eventually, and have they actually caused any harm to anyone expect sink a couple of south korean ships? The chances of them having a weapon that could strike anyone is remote
