Merriman's Skipjack vs Percision patterns Permit

    Hi all
I am in the midsts of decieding on a new sub to fit my D&E wtc-3. I am looking for opinions on the appove mentioned boats. Both are 1/96, take wtc-3 and around the same price. The tough part is both come from great craftsmen in this hobby.
    Thanks
    Dave

Right now Thor's PERMIT kit (which is an excellent product) is available. Our SKIPJACK currently is out of production till I get the time to re-engineer some aspects of the kit.

It's building time, so I recommend you spring for the PERMIT kit and when we have our improved SKIPJACK up and running, you might want to make the purchase and increase the number of submarines in your fleet.

At a risk of getting screamed at, I agree with Dave. Precision Pattern's Permit is a great Kit, I can also attest to the quality of the Sturgeon and 688 hulls that were produced by that Individual in the pasat as i own 1 of each.

The PERMIT is a great kit. I have built one and it ran very well. SKIPJACK? What is that?

You could always consider stepping up to 1/72 and buy Joel Stadnick's Permit - a great all inclusive kit.
A great dilemma - lots of talented individual's and their kits to pick from.
