Hello Dirkk, Welcome! I dont think that there is anything here specifically restricted to just post WW2 stuff. What we have is a mixture. Im sure that if you look thru the forums you will find enough stuff to hold your interest. Check out "General" and "ID this" everyday and you will see some good stuff posted daily.

There's an excellent 1/72 Permit Class produced by HMK (Joel Stadnick of Canada). This is the best engineered, most complete sub kit I have ever had the pleasure of building. There's a few configurations available, and the kit works a treat coupled with the D&E Subdriver 3.5" WTC - the most reliable, simple, WTC I have ever employed.

      Good luck.

          Dirk,

(What kind of name is that? You in the porn industry?).

If I've seen this question once, I've seen it a hundred times.

Try the SubCommittee, they might have time for this happy horse-**** inquiry of yours, Dirk.

Oh, now that I think of it. The Daring Duo, Kevin Price and Matt Thor, over at Sub Pirates, have been threatening to market boats of that era for years now. Ask them about those (soon to be released) kits.

          Lotsa luck, kid!

          David,

Have you looked over at SP? They have several they are 'supposedly" coming out with.

Yes as a matter of fact I was just over there asking about them. They have a few but nothing is ready yet seems like they have been working on them for a long time. One guy kind of got mad for me asking about it.

If you guys could think of something let me know

Joel Stadnick....the best sub kit maker on the planet...oh and whilst his Seawolf kit is not yet out, it will be soon- he delivers what he says he can when he can. In fact you can follow all of what Joel builds here on SD forum and at his HMK Creations facebook page - complete transparency is therefore provided to prospective customers as to where projects are at. He is honest and won't over promise or under deliver. His Permit kit is amazing and from order to delivery in my case was only a short wait which was well worth it. In fact I was so impressed I paid fully in advance for my Seawolf more than a year ago.....if that doesn't give you some confidence nothing will. Some people by condos off the plan - well this is the only time I have done that with an RC sub.

I have built over 20 RC subs - 3 were Thor Alfa's - and despite how good those kits were engineered, Joel's work is Mach 2 above that and beyond. Hence why I bought Joel's Seawolf, and why I am utlising his long Permit hull kit, as the basic platform for my Sturgeon. Joel's work is like Aston Martin - hand built craftsmanship and engineering at its very best.

For the ballast system - again D&E 3.5". It simple, effective, easy to maintain, and it don't leak. Should an unexpected problem arise, - you get complete support from the manufacturer.
You want to avoid RETARDS ballast systems - been there done that ain't doing it again. Don't get me started read here http://forum.sub-driver.com/showthre...ighlight=RCABS
RETARDS being RE-circulating Tried And Rejected Dive System
You also want to avoid RETARDS as in the people who profess to beginners all over the internet that RETARDS is a one size fits all **** hot system.

Hope you find what your are looking for.

                J
