ID:	100685 What a Handsome looking boat! Of all the Russian subs that I have encountered, this one is the most pleasing to the eye in my opinion. What do you think?

ID:	60913 If you gents see that I have posted a wrong picture, please let me know. I have more pictures that I will continue to add here. Most of them I have found on my own but a few of them come courtesy "Gantu". Sorry, the little drawing below the plans is not a Borei. I believe its a Delta 3.

My compliments to you and Gantu. Marvelous stuff!

What's with the opposed position of the two stern planes? Was the artist being a smart-ass or is active roll control part of this boats maneuvering control system?

      That pump-jet looks very British -- only a pre-swirl stator/strut set.

Where can I buy a copy of those plans???

      David,

              What a beautiful, beautiful boat.

Thank you so much for sharing your files with us, Gantu. You are a major-league resource, indeed.

You're killing me with all these beautiful pictures ... makes me want to drop what I'm doing and build these things.

Damn you! You're making me crazy!

                (Such wonderful stuff you find!)

But, on behalf of all those who love this stuff: Thank You for your generosity.

                  Gantu,

Oh, man! I want too. But I'm so backed up with work ... which is a good thing. Mr. Caswell keeps me so busy these days.

But, I can assure you, I am most impressed with that boat and appreciative of your efforts to bring it, and so many other interesting things, to our attention.

just look at the bloody thing- its either a small island or a hump-back whale.

No guns, no bandstand, nothing of any interest whatsoever.
And inside, fairies, smellin' of Brut, not sweat and diesel, with 3 squares a day, movies, white linen bedsheets, never felt a depth charge, never fired a shot in anger, (well maybe but they're not tellin'!) No Jolly Roger or Broomstick to flaunt!

Nah! That's not a real submarine, its a floating hotel! Lets post the real stuff up here. At least show one with a bloody gun on the superstructure!

Pitiful lookin' thing if you ask me.

And get back to work Wiz, and don't distract him you lot, you know he loses focus easily! God-damnnit!

                      Mr. Caswell, sir:

You have no heart; you have all the aesthetic sensitivity of a runaway steam-roller; you're idea of attractive reeks of diesel oil, old socks and ****; your idea of Labor relations, if revealed, would get the Spanish Inquisition's Seal of Approval! You're a hard, intolerant, slave-driving, nasty, evil SOB!

                      Real Submarine ... indeed!

I could see Mike's point... a little lol. Modern subs as models IMO are not too hot unless they have loads of hull, sail and other details. All the tiles scribed in etc. Lots of eye candy needed.

I used to to think the modern stuff was booring. If you look a little closer at them, they are pretty damn interesting. Their sleekness and technology is sexy. Well as much as an inanimate object can be.

There's room for both! And you can bet we'll be seeing a large model of a Russian something or other in the near future :)

                          Rick,

The VICTOR-3 has always been on my 'to do' list. And the old NOVEMBER. Hell, any of the HEN's for that matter.

It looks like the Russian Submarine building business is busy. I wonder if they got any of our bailout money.

Dave I like both of those, Im down after we clear up our current messes lol

Gantu, it basically comes down to what the guy thats building it likes. I have never made a "failure" model that dident sell, not too worried about that.
