Jeepers Greenman didn't know whether you gone all Thespian or was putting out a personal ad for some male company with the title of this post.

Suffice to say whatever you want to call these boats "inny', "outty" or "fatty", IM view there a target - used by failed states with underhand agendas that threaten democracy. The good thing is these boats are noisy as all hell, have limited life left in them. From a modelling perspective - an interesting array of different configs thanks for posting these :pop

A side-bar story, brought on by Slat's observations about the past and current ass-hole client States of the Soviet Union:

I was once commissioned to build ten ROMEO models for an American vendor of sonar equipment. Each model would be presented to the Egyptian commanding officer of a ROMEO. Egyptian submarines origionly built under Russian license in China for the PLA, boats that eventually would be outfitted with the latest gear by American's.

All too often, today, money trumps patriotism and common sense.

How many years from now will a nuclear bomb, launched by Iran, in a missile from North Korea, with the aid of American GPS satellites, find its way to a city assisted by a French guidance package?

          WAKE UP!

ID:	60908 The first picture is a Chinese Ming class which is a adaptation of the Romeo. The second picture is a closeup of the ming sail. The last picture is Romeos in russian service. This link will take you to a stat page on the romeo. If you look at the bottom under export it will give you the 92 units in chinese service.http://russian-ships.info/eng/submar...roject_633.htm

Man, that is one fugly boat. There is one rusting away in a park in Shanghai's Qingpui District near the naval base.

I can understand why no one else beside Arkmodel ever released a large scale kit.
