Permit Class - were they capable of carrying the DSRVs Mystic and Avalon?

Quick question about the US DSRVs..
I understand that in the main the Sturgeon's carried these with some specially modified to almost have a permanent DSRV carrying role. I understand some of the later classes 688's 688i's also carried the DSRVs at times. Going a bit further back - does anyone know if any of the Permits ever carried / or could carry the DSRVs?

The DSRVs were launched in 1970 and 1971 - at a time when a lot of the new Sturgeons were either being commissioned or had been for but a few short years. The Permit's were very much in active service at this time with them serving through till late eighties / early nineties.

I've done a heck of a lot of research on these boats and I have yet to see anything that has shown that any of these have carried a DSRV. Later Sturgeon class boats were the first I think. However, I could be wrong...I've found a few things about the Permits that have surprised me along the way.

I have seen some photos of earlier short Sturgeons carrying them, but I understand that this was exception rather than rule as the later longer Sturgeons were the main carrier used.
