Last weekend's fun-run at the Jewish Community Center outdoor pool
Back then (early 90's) we were doing all sorts of crazy **** at Trashmore: rocket-gliders launched off r/c barges (I was the de facto test-pilot as I was the only slob there with any serious flight ability); real-time passive sonar from an underway, submerged submarine model; practical depth-charges; practical torpedoes; a practical floating dry-dock; we even did a night-time burial at sea (lake) via r/c barge and 'honor' fleet -- we dumped a club members ashes in the center of the lake when no one was looking. Dennis', of course, was the guiding genius behind that maneuver, you should not be too surprised to learn.
All kinds of weird and wonderful **** going on in the day. Not any more: tight-asses on City Council shut the lake down -- all citizens can do with it now is look at the pretty water.
Blah Blah! etc.
