The Wisconsin Maritime Museum recently hosted SubFest 2016. The Manitowoc Ship Building Co. built 28 fleet subs during WWII. This year the theme was "Subs in popular Culture". I took my 31" Disney NAUTILUS and Moebius SEAVIEW, which fit the theme. I also took my 1:96 scale USS HAMMERHEAD (SS-364) - a Manitowoc boat; USS BARB (SSN-596) in 1:96 scale; and the Trumpeter USS SEAWOLF. Some of the other models present were: a 24" Flying Sub; a Moebius 1:72 scale SKIPJACK; a 1"40 scale Type VII; a SubTech ALBACORE; There were several Sub Vets around, looking at our models and offering sea stories.
