    HMK Creations 1:72 Permit

Joel Stadnick of HMK Creations has asked us to market his Permit. He is in the throes of re-tooling the fittings and the complete kit will be available in the next few weeks.

We'll have more details regarding price etc. shortly, along with many more photos

This is a major, major catch! I've got one of these kits and the quality of the engineering and execution of the parts is top-notch. A wonderful product.

It certainly is great news- I have one of these on order.
Dave this baby will take the 3.5" SD beautifully, but a forward compartment to serve as a LIPO / NIMH holder and or take the torpedo switcher would be a great next step.

So glad you guys will market this fine submarine kit.

We'll develop a dedicated SD for this kit -- deserves it!

Latest update of schedule for models being available.

The modeller will be able to build any one of the Permit class they want...except for the Barb which has Sturgeon-like puffer fins on the stern plains:

            - 1/72 USS Permit/Thresher circa 1962 and 1/72 USS Permit circa 1979 simultaneously in the next few weeks

            - 1/72 USS Jack circa 1967 and 1/72 USS Jack circa 1980 simultaneously probably a month or two after Permit

            - 1/72 Permit class short hull or long hull/long sail circa 1966 and 1/72 Permit class short hull or long hull/long sail circa 1981 simultaneously late this year

            - 1/72 Seawolf probably late next year.

Great documentation - with a few tweaks here and there made by the kit assembler, these docs could be used to assemble almost any kit.

Just checked the Caswell site. This one's not listed. Kit availability? SD availability?

The Permit is finished all ready to go and will be released properly (finally!) almost simultaneously with my Seawolf when it's completed. Keep an eye out for late spring. Right now, I've had to put all things production on hold as it interferes too much with development...I'm just one guy!

For the Subdriver, she takes a basic 3.5 kit with snort, and I'm sure Mike might have one or two of those available for you :)

                        Thanks,
                        Joel

What's the target pricing for the Permit hull/fittings?

That facet still has to be solidified...

                            Thanks,
