Okay, I knew they were fairly rain resistant but not heard of them being tested to any depth.
Is this the type you are talking about?

How deep do you think I could go before the ActionCam Imploded?
    I'm guessing about 1 inch. :D

Yes, it depends a great deal on what you will be taking pictures of, where and how deep you will be taking them, as to wheather that type camera is practical or not. And of course how much money you can spend on 'impress the neighbors' type toys, is critical also. :D

Depends what course you take, one i had involved a weekend of torture having mask removed every few minutes and gas turned off, survived that ;)

Plus if you want to get some nice up close video of say a moray eel, better to hold camera at arms length than to stick your face up close:eek:

but for in a pool videoing subs it would be interesting, although i reackon a stand alone camera would still be cheaper.

Wow, What kinda Wild games does your diving group Play, that would knock your mask off?

Just kidding, I know what you're saying.
Cameras tend to get in the way, no matter where you try to hang them, since the well equiped diver has too much gear hanging all over already.
But if you want to take pictures, It's gotta be in the way Somewhere. :D
I agree tho, It's better to loose the camera than it is the Mask.

Frankly to me its look a POS. would't buy one for diving with. Big lump on your head, easily to get tangled on your hoses / coral / just about anything.

Keeping your mask on with a group of divers around you is hard enough anyway without making the mask bigger.

Looks just like night vision googles the Special Forces or SEALs use. Lol.

    Check out their wrist cam.

Too bad it's unavailable right now.

This little camera is due out shortly-

It's a high definition camera/camcorder with a little swivel lens, which means you could mount it horizontal in a pressure hull. Not waterproof, but the prospect of HD underwater footage is enticing. Only fly in the ointment is that uses Sony's expensive memory sticks instead of the much more cost effective SD cards.
