    Caswell SV1 Solenoid

Just received an sv1 6v solenoid valve from Caswell tu use as a vent for the ballast tank in my wtc. The only way this could work is if I installed it outside the wtc however I assume that it must be waterproofed before I do this. I was thinking of plasti dip but the way it is made I think it will damage the solenoid if I plasti dip it. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? This is for a Revell Type 7 with D&E WTC. The original valve leaked all summer and I tried everything to make it stop. It's a small leak but I have to command a blow almost every 5 or 6 minutes of surface running.

These solenoid valves have a vent on their sides, so Plastidip would block that.

Have you tried replacing the D&E Valve?
Stop messing about - just get a Sub-driver!
