What stripped, the resin thread at the stern plane itself (likely), or the thread at the metal yoke (less likely). In either case, remove the set screw, swizzle some thin-formula CA in the bore of the threaded hole and hit it with some acellerator (applied with a stick or piece of 1/16" rod). Retap (it's a 4-40 thread) and you're good to go.

No retired in 2000-25 years. STSCS/SS/NAC was P-3 AW for 10 years before I saw the light.

Nothing wrong with a Ping Jockey, son. I almost was one. Did BE&E at FSS Key West. Had to pretend to be a sonar striker fo phase one. NSWs at the AUWS, had to audit the class in those days. You active?

    This is my account: http://www.servimg.com/images.php?cat_id=0&start=0

Look it over, a bunch of photos I've posted to that hosting site.

Set up your own account at this host, then copy pictures from your hard-drive to this site and then all you need do to post them to a forum post is paste the photo URL into the text of your post.

Confusing at first, but it will let you post big format pictures to your posts here and other forums.

Some examples of hosted pictures presented here:

I simply post my stuff to an outside photo hosting service. Write the photo URL into your text and the big photo will show up.

Welcome back. Nobody said you had to win the race, all we ask is that you finish it. Good to hear you are back at it. We are here if you get stumped. Oh and take pictures!

After way too long of a delay, I have finally started my skipjack, (year and 1/2 later) Progress will be slow but I am learning and again have reread the many fine builds on here and hope I can do almost as well. Currently filing out MBT grates.
