Todays limited progress. I installed my hold-down hooks over the battery WTC area. Also, I tried to address the bubble trap under the sail by drilling a hole in the far back of the middle plate in the sail. Also, all the little holes on top of the muffler cover behind the sail I drilled out and a few of them a size or two bigger. I couldnt help myself but I had to put a few more bits on the sail and deck. Pretty happy with the way the top fits on the hull. Ill be making a few more adjustments here and there to it as I go along.

(Pointing east) It's Manfred's fault! He started it!Still wasnt satisfied. Took the file and went around it above and below the lens to round the cylinder at the junction. Then hit it with 320 paper to take out the scratches. Fortunately when I paint it the paint will fill and blend where I cant and make it look a lot better. SEE WHAT YOU STARTED TOM! Sheesh!Leave a comment:

Thanks Dave. Additional progress on my Hydrogen Peroxide wonder. Got all the tabs on and installed the hold-down fitting in the back. I put a light film of thin oil on the threads of the screw so that the CA wouldnt get into it. After previously drilling a hole thru the top hull to establish the proper place I installed the ingeniously shaped piece of renshape that was pre-threaded. Carefull.....try it both ways to see which way fits best. The flat side out worked for me. Put the screw thru the top and wick in CA around the renshape piece.
Later I mixed up some two part DOT epoxy and poured it in the keel to firm up that area. Dont forget to tape up the bottom so it doesnt leak out while its trying to set, and make sure you level the hull both ways so as it seeks its own level , you wont be disappointed.Last edited by greenman407; 03-22-2014, 07:22 PM.Leave a comment:

Now THAT is one hell of a neat trick, Mark. You Soth'n Boys aren't as dumb as you look.
Excellent methodology followed by first-class execution. Well done, sir.

Those twisted wires are placed to give a smaller wake, and less vibrations to give a more stable view for the crew manning the scope.

Thanks Tom. Manfred, what are the twisted wires around the lower portion of the scope for? Some pictures show them, others do not.Leave a comment:
