Something I had been putting off done today, the dredded rear top fins. They are very prone to being knocked about so I like to make them removable. heres the result.

A+B Models did a big TB4 and there was a 3 foot Stingray out there a while back But Im not sure what the availability is like nowadays. I was thinking of doing a 2 foot Stingray for my Next kit, Who knows.

Up to you Mark, I just used the recesses as a guide for painting. The originals were not as tidy as could be. I took a little artistic Licence with my bigger one thinking that under close inspection there would have to be moredefined detail. Just my opinion.

But after the masking tape you cut them in.......right, because the picture on the other page clearly shows that its not simulated but actual grooves.

If you look at the 2 pics, 30 inch model and 5 footer there are subtle differences in the way the Vents are blended in. As with most models built under time constraints back then they were never the same so make your choice in hoe much you blend them in. On the question of the side front part, I added thin strips of masking tape and then sprayed over it then removed the masking tape and revealed a recess that simulated the lines. Hope that helps.

Mamas, here is a picture of the front corner of the propulsion pod on my 3 footer. It was provided full size. To utilize it I will need to cut grooves in the face of it and they will need to be perfect. Can you be more specific about how you did yours?

Mamas, Why are you putting a filet around those vents in the third picture? On all my views they are sharp and not tapered.

Done a bit more today, the engine exhausts are under rubber and will replace those in the current kit as they are more screen acurate to the larger filming model. also started to add the vents.
