After her Maiden, I had a great time floating her and eventually decided that I need to learn ton detail the boat so it doesn't just look like a shadow all the time with a toothpick sticking out of the top. With some coaching, I started to gather material and purchased a Paasche H airbrush single stage and these pictures are the result of the first tape off and spraying. I wanted to do as much of this detailing with the 4 colors I had at the time and with some mixing, I was able to get a good first layer.

Due to the hull being printed and not doing the proper prep work to smooth it out, I hand painted the outlines best I could and when I did the waterline, I got a surprise fuzzy line, but again I employed the airbrush and I actually liked the effect of the waterline snafu after I added some Schmutz color. She's not perfect but its my first attempt and practice for my next detail work on recently acquired USS Blueback.Comment
