    Dumas Bluefish

    Ahoy
I am new here I just registered, I am concidered a newbie to the sewer pipe navy. Being a Retired cheif boatswain mate most of my collections in Rc and static are all surface vessels of all types. 7 years ago I aquired a Dumas Dynamic diceing sub Bluefish the kit is all built and water tight tested in my bath tub testing tank.No water leaks in at all I dont like the hatch cover lid as per instructions use patrolium jell and hold down with rubber bands. I am up for suggestions on updateing my hatch cover lid, the WTC is all fiber glassed inside out this is my first sub so bare with me, I am dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to subs. this is the reason i joined the website forum to learn and meet a lot of fine fellas as yourselves. So far on the scuttlebutt I been hearing nothing but negative feed back of the bluefish and wondering id I bought a lemon submarine. I havent took it out for sea trials yet but planning on going to the metro pond tommorow. After applying patrolium jelly on the inside of the hatch lid I rubberband it down I submerged the sub in my bath tub and let stand over night submerged this morning no leaks the WTC is dry as a desert plain. So far So good If any one here has or had any experience with this kit I am all ears, Attached are the pictures of my Bluefish and I threw in my U.S.S. ARIZONA all scratch 1/96 scale RC in the measure of 5d.

    Hey, Boat's.

You built it, it's watertight. Use it!

Don't let it set in the sun long before dunking it in the water as the thermal expansion/contraction between hull and WTC lid flanges may distort enough to cause a leak -- avoid thermal shock!

And trim this dynamic diver so it floats with only the top half of the sail sticking above the water -- that way you won't need much speed-through-water to effectively push the boat under with the planes.

And don't operate that thing in water you're not prepared to jump into!

    Go get 'em, Tiger!

Has anyone built the DUMAS BLUEFISH using mods with Dave's SubDRIVER? I got one several years ago for Christmas and would like to build it but not per their instructions. Thanks
