    Before painting starts, it bugs me that I can’t find one photo of this boat that shows any type of buoy system. Either in under way photos or the way she is now. Nor could I find any pictures of her sister subs with them. So, being the somewhat anal type, I filled in and sanded the buoys that are indicated fore and aft on this kit. Why? It seems they didn’t exist on this boat, at least in this fashion. If I’m proven wrong later, then I can etch them back in.

    With all the flood grates, intakes and exhaust ports done, primer was applied. Next will be my first real attempt at airbrushing. I’ve played but not done it for keeps. Wish me luck. Click image for larger version
