Good evening all my U Boat builders, I received my Germany type VIIC Submarine from Bob today. Here are a few notes on the 1/48 scale kit by Arkmodel Technology Co. Ltd.
It is a good size boat at around 55 inch's long. I will post a few photos of the kit, but if anyone would like a photo of all the parts in the kit, I will post them,
First note is the manual belongs in the trash can, for the money of this kit I would like to have a) All English section, as all models have, b) no instruction's with it, just a photo of the build .c) The English was writer by a 6 year old again for the money I accept better.
The parts do seem nice and there is a nice history of the VIIC. Here are a couple of photos to show everyone what I am talking about.
After researching for the last week I have changed my mine about the build, this boat will be the U-Flak 1 (U-441) not the U-92.
Also the scale of the U-Boat will not be the main concern, The functions of the items on the boat will be the main concern of my build. I have a F-14 75hz radio with 105 channels, if I get them all working, have 7 working so Far. HaHa My first step was building the stand. Then I set the hull on the stand to see if the Vents are to scale, with have to check that tonight. If any one can look at the photos and tell me if they are near scale, would help a lot.
Thanks
Bill

One more thing I want to say is that Bob has several YouTubes on his build of this kit, I did not post them here because they are all over the place. Watch them before you build this kit, as I have. More than once. HaHa

Cool cover on the manual
OK here is the new rudder linkage, the kit one would not work, it may have been me , but as you can see I soldiered a piece of brass on a 1/16 in collar times 3 now working rudder linkage.
