    RE: Ballast Tank

    All,

This may sound very simple but I've got to ask some of you experts out there that are into RC submarine. I am trying to use the smart pump with controller to inflate the bladder for my Kilo and after the bladder is some what inflated it starts to deflates itself until it almost became flat. Do pump tends to back siphoning air from the bladder back to pump. Do I need to place a check valve after the pump and before the bladder to keep air inside of the bladder. Thanks, JC.

Should be self checking- diaphragm pumps only pump one way. Perhaps you have a bit of muck stuck in one of the valves?

      Subculture,

I was told the pump only has one diaphragm thus it may back siphoning when it is on, I do not know why that is but I am going to try to place a check valve.
