Looks to me as a nice boat, at least a good platform to build all the extra functions.

As for the emblems, the vinking ship is about the U901 itself, the green swordfish translate itself to serving the 9 th flotilla, which is strange because it served the 11th flotilla, the emblem accourding to Uboat net shows a polarbear standing on a conningtower instead of the swordfish.

    Manfred.

I do see a tiny viking ship on the front now... I missed that.
I guess a boat can have two emblems? I didn't get that from uboat.net.

I see a Viking ship (boat's emblem) on the front of the tower and laughing fish on the side (flotilla emblem). What am I missing?

A beauty for sure... Not to criticize, but didn't U901 have a different emblem? I looked it up and I found it was a Viking ship.
The U-boat War in World War Two (Kriegsmarine, 1939-1945) and World War One (Kaiserliche Marine, 1914-1918) and the Allied efforts to counter the threat. Over 40.000 pages on the officers, the boats, technology and the Allied efforts to counter the U-boat threat.

    Or maybe no?

    Edit:

    Cool nickname! :D
The Arkmodel might be a good boat to start but the 1/48 scale makes it substantially smaller than my Robbe’s. I don’t mind going bigger or staying the same, but a good 16% smaller size would bother me I think. The 1/30 scale sounds interesting, what kind of boat is that?
