    Vex radio

I have a Vex radio for an upcoming project. I want to remove the spring for the left throttle stick. Does anyone have an idea how to do that? I e-mailed the manufacture for an exploded diagram, but they said they no longer support that radio. I could try it blind, but I'm afraid of a zillion parts going in all directions. I will still have the spring for the left/right stick for the ballast.

    Thanks

You can remove the spring, but the stick will flop around without a ratchet assembly in place (which I don't think they have). I should tear into one and see what's actually in there, but I'm 99% sure there is no ratchet part. I think the VEX were private-label Futaba, so if you have an old Futaba radio, you might be able to salvage the ratchet gear from that...
