    Nice Turn Radius!

Does anyone know if the split rudder is unique to this model ? If you watch between 3:58-4:28 minute points its quite notable that the sub turns very well without any rudder extension and looks period scale-the rudder is a little like a nozzle on a tugboat...well done! Not exactly scale, but effective. If you weren't a purist or detail snob, you probably would never know. I always thought it was pretty ingenious.

I favor the clear rudder extension. Invisible in the water and removable in seconds when you're ready to display...

Or, you can gimbal the propeller. In this example I'm not only swinging the propeller to increase the yaw rate, but also swinging it in pitch, thus eliminating the 'un-scale' stern planes often seen on r/c models depicting the Disney NAUTILUS.

Here's a video of the NAUTILUS employing the two-axis propeller gimbal illustrated above: https://youtu.be/cwS6o4jsxoU https://youtu.be/kOO_sz6Sh7U

That's definitely the way! Thanks..it doesn't appear to take much throw on that long prop shaft to be effective..nice!
