Hello everyone, my name is Marcus and I'm a model builder from Germany. I'm currently building my second submarine and use an old MC 19 40Mhz remote control from Graupner.
For my ships, however, I use an X20 HD from FrSky and I keep reading that these remote controls can also be used for submarines. Is it really that simple? Just buy a receiver (like the TD R10 Dual Band), plug it into the submarine, and off you go?
Is there anything that needs to be considered? Does the remote control need to be specially programmed, or should the antennas be positioned in a special way? Or should we stick with the old 40 MHz system for submarines?
