I hear what you are saying Romel, and that has been my plan all along, that, and make sure I have water to feed the props.

I look at it this way, if it does not work, I sure will have an interesting model...

            Rick,

I have been using Tinkercad! It does have a learning curve, and some say that it is rather weak as to what it can do. I find that not correct. Using the symbols that they have and other methods with it has proven to me that it can do all that I need. I have not tried a full submarine build yet, but who knows!?

Again Romel, I do get your point. But, the head that came with the STL file will not allow me to open it up to allow any more water in. Still a work in progress for sure.

Rob, What I meant was, if it doesn't work you could make a wall mounted plaque of the head. X-D

OK Romel! Might be this is the way it may turn out!

While I have your attention! The photo below shows the prop which fits perfectly in the housing. I did test it in water, and it has some pretty good thrust.

What do you think of the blade design? To much pitch? Not enough? Just asking for some input. I have tried several different designs, and it seems the one I have works pretty well. The final prop will be printed in ABS.

No more sweating the small stuff. It's all or nothing with my design...

I have mounted the thruster heads as part of the body structure. The motor heads will be mounted on these, but will be removable for any service required.

My two 40 Amp 5 BEC brushless ESC's will be here today. I will then be able to mount the motors and props and start some in water testing.

I forgot to mention that I have opened up the gille slots to help move more water flow through them.

This should help giving me more thrust. We will see..

Today I am working on the motor and prop assemblies for the thrusters.

Both motors and props are performing perfectly, running in the correct directions and producing thrust through the gills. Both motors will be operating off one 3S (11.1 volts) lipo at 50C. Not sure how I am going to get all these electronics into the body at this point, but I will find away.

I have come this far with this project, and so far, everything is working out! :-))

Need to add, that the motors mounted just right as for spacing, so the shark head fits perfectly as well!

After doing some hard-core testing (in the pool) and using many different types of props that would fit into the space I have, it's just not going to work as planned. There was no way I could get enough thrust to make the shark move properly. And when you start adding in any ballast weigh to get it at operating depth you wouldn't have enough thrust to even move it forward.

So! At this point I am discontinuing this shark build. But might be down the road I will build it to the proper scale and try it again. As I stated from the beginning, this was going to be an experiment. I look at it as another lesson learned, but it was fun to build and ponder all the different ways that one might come up with to make it work.
