Interesting, and a great application as a flap. Not exactly perfect for our application. I think a simple electromagnet would be more applicable. Would need to have the vent sealed when not powered. I like the idea of an electrically actuated vent versus mechanical, which offers more flexibility in terms of location and orientation. Making multiple vents is also much easier, perfect for long tanks (one vent per side).
