Look at the 40 sec of this Bob video and you will see that receiver. The only different the servo pins are pointed up on the one and on the other the servo pins are pointed side ways, but still same unit

Actually the one in the video is an EK2-0420A and the one on Ebay is an EK2-0420. I do also definitely see the Vex crystal in the receiver. Close enough match that I bought one. Hopefully it will work well. Thanks again =)

While those receivers were labeled 72mhz, they were returned to 75mhz.
Also, from what I've heard, Tony with Radio South is basically retired and only working as he wants to. I wouldn't count on that as a resource for retuning radios.

            Some do some don't.
The problem is some receiver with a 75mhz crystal will turn from (-) to (+) shift, Vice versa. If you don't have a transmitter that can switch between shift.

Some old Hitec computer Tx can.
            ER9X FIRMWARE TX can.
            Good old Polk's transmitter can.

No can do with Futaba (VEX), JR or Airtronics.

Going to list all the 72mhz receiver that i have works under 75mhz crystal.

Looks to me like if we want this hobby to stay alive we really need to find somebody willing to make new 75mhz RC radios.

Found a few manufacturers out of China that would start making them again, provided we commit to a MOQ (minimum order quantity) of 1000 units. If you have a spare $100K lying around, we should be in good shape...

I currently have one more of the VEX receiver that I purchased from Nautilus Drydocks left. I think it may just be the right time to go with the 2.4 systems from now on, and if installed properly they work great for my applications!

Are you saying you have a 75mhz receiver you're willing to sell?

No! That receiver will be going into a final 75mhz sub build, and then I am converting over to 2.4 systems.

I just received the e-sky 72mhz receiver I bought on ebay and I am pleased to say that it works just great with my Vex radio and both 75mhz crystal sets I have for it. Woohoo! Not bad for $21 =)
