All,
I've got an old (probably over 20 years old) D&E 1:96 Skipjack, and in the course of a move, it sustained some battle damage.
I needed some advice on what to use to put it back together. The tail section is slightly warped (out of round), as are both the top and bottom. The sub had broken free of it's mountings in its transport box, and unbeknownst to me, had rested there for several years. I've attempted to wrap it in a bunch of rubber bands around the tail section to pull it back into round, but no dice. I'm almost wondering if I need to rebuild the entire stern....
Any thoughts on how I can bend these things back into shape?
Also, I'm hunting for a brass prop for the sub, since you can see I've got an opposite turning 7 bladed screw on it now (It was all I had to keep it running at the time).
Thanks very much-
