Linear servo for Small WTC use

    Hello
Would like to know if a Spektrum linear servo can be used with a Standard Futaba FPR127DF 75Mhz FM receiver OR does anything have to be done to the connector to make it connect? Also what strength linear servo is Best to use for main submarine controls?
    Thanks for your help.

ID:	150674 What size wtc you want to make? Need more info.

a good sub 9 grams servo will be easier to use.
For receiver a fm GWS micro receiver is a good choice.

The futaba receiverecs is hard to stuff in to a small wtc, uncase and replace with 90 degrees pins may help.

      Hi Cheapsub
      Thanks for your reply.
I know of the SG90 metal gear version.
I understand your thoughts BUT I have a question about your GWS receivers. Yes they are SMALL but are they 75mHz FM receivers? IF NOT how can they be used under water?

      Please let me know.
      Thanks
      George

Many moons ago, a company import them as 75MHz. So I have the crystal.

By dumb luck, get a big lot of odds and ends.
by try and errors (with the Frankenstein TX) . Found out...
A 72MHz Rx GWS for JR, jam a 75MHz crystal. It will works with futaba radio.
also in reverse a GWS for Futaba, jam a 75MHz crystal, it will works with JR/Airtronics

you are not going to run a foot long sub, 1000 meter away.

This also works the same in JR receiver ( just the right size)6 to 7 channel one.
some soldering skills, you can switch between Futaba and JR.

Again, Thank You for your help with this.
I see there are still some 72Mhz FM GWS receivers for sale. I have Futaba 75Mhz FM Dual Conversion Crystals, will they work with my Futaba FM 75Hz Radio?

GWS will works with Futaba or Hitec.
no the dual conversion crystal can't use in the GWS.

But Hitec 555 for Futaba and other dual conversion parkflyer Rx will.

The crystal for GWS Rx is a odd ball size, ( JR type single conversion) not too many around. So getting a matching one to your TX is the problem, may have to get them as a set.

I still have some new one and used one, what frequency your transmitter is on.

full size JR crystal is easier to find.
JR sport Rx (same size as GWS )uses standard size crystal.
[Get the one for positive shift, I know Futaba is native shift, but it will work.]
