What sort of run time are the new msd direct drive units on a 3000ma pack driven at a moderate speed are expected ?2-3 hours?

Beats me, Rick. I've still got to get one of those units in the water. Has to be longer than a 555 running on 12-volts.

So many factors that can affect that. A Skipjack is going to take a lot less power to push through the brine than a Type XXI. Free running the draw will be minimal, most brushless motors I have pull no more than a few watts free running, and then they load up according to the prop size and RPM you run them at. Quite a brute of a motor in those new units, so you shouldn't have any issue's with power,
