This picture saved my butt this week. I'm trying to finish a boat for SubFest and was struggling to get enough paint out of my detail airbrushes to cover adequately. After looking at this series I spied what appears to be a Paasche Model H in the hands of The Master, and handily covering fairly large areas with paint! Somewhere in my stash a Model H was hiding from 30 years ago. Long story short, I just finished the primer and the color coats will go on tomorrow with the details and weathering to follow.

That… is a lotta masts!

Boomers (to put bombs on target) MUST know where they are; and be able to, when needed, monitor just about the entire radio spectrum for position (satellite, LORAN, and DF fixes) and traffic concerning changes to patrol status, ball scores, and family-grams. That's a lot of optics and antennas to poke above the water. Never all at once, but specific masts raised when the need presents itself.
