I installed Fusion 360 and will be using it to design model and other parts using it, then import it into the Bambu software to print it. In my opinion, and what I will do, is watch Youtube 101 videos on using Fusion 360 and Bambu Studio. If you have two monitors, one with the YT video and the other monitor do what they do, follow along, on the other monitor. To me that seems the quickest way to 'learn' the software. My two cents.

I can't say anything about Tinkercad, others may.
    Thank you, Ken,

I do not want to jump Davids build blog, but yes 3D printing really is my hobby. I to have the new Bambu X1C and love it. It seems that Fusion 360 is the preferred go to software. With your abilities and know how in this hobby, I really appreciate your knowledge and input.

Thank you very much... (Sorry David for letting this get a little out of hand on your build blog)

No. Why suffer the disadvantages I outlined when you can have all those details incorporated in a homogeneous GRP structure!!!!!

apply and fair in all your fancy acid-etch detail items -- especially the deck -- to the master. I'll take it from there.

Again: When going with the glove mother-mold have no concern for deep or negative draft projections/depressions on the master.

No sweat, Rob. Post away. Good stuff always appreciated (even if it makes me catch fire if I get close to it).

Will you make all of the deck perforations through and through or just a few strategically placed ones to vent the hull and leave the rest as dimples? Click image for larger version Name:	Screenshot_20250128_072218_Chrome.jpg Views:	0 Size:	48.9 KB ID:	185674

Sanding. The poor girl was wet sanding. You insensitive, jerk-wad! Ellie never waxed a thing in her life. (oh... ah... never mind).

At that point of time, we were knee-deep in effects work for an independent Producers movie -- started out as an homage to old SF TV shows but degenerated into a ****ing slasher-flick. As the production was being done on the cheap the Producer wanted to limit post-shoot process and second unit-work, so everything was shot 'in-camera' at one site (the 'studio' an old, decrepit Shriner's Temple, of all things). So, most of the miniatures had to be big.

What Ellie's working on is the bottom half of a time-traveling saucer, the TD-1. The tool in the background was used to form the big sperm shaped space station. And the shark looking organic rocket ship was the bad-guy's ride.

The working title of this awful POS movie was, Space Patrol. But, after at least five screenplays became, Midnight Movie Massacres, and later still as, Attack From Mars. God awful.

Because Ellie and I refused to join any union or guild, the only movie we got credit on -- both opening and closing credits. I could go on about this thing, but don't want to spoil your next meal.

62 Semi-soft Maple blanks 1/2 x 2 x 4 inches for sections for CB Italian midget sub completed. Will start glueing line templates and cutting out individual upper and lower hull line sections.

Yes, It was a god-awful, short-lived,GRP hull kit offered by some outfit back in the early 90's. If I remember correctly, I won it at a SubCommittee sponsored all-submarine model run at the Officers lake, submarine base, Groton, Connecticut.

Ellie and I had been associated with Jerry Harrel, AKA Doctor Madblood, who was a TV personality who had a long running gig at one of the stations doing a monster movie intro show.

                                Anyway...

... Jerry asked Ellie and me to consider rigging a miniature submarine for a spoof of the movie, Fantastic Voyage. I broke out that awful HOLLAND kit -- previously bashed to look like a kid's idea of, THE BAT-SUB -- and out fitted it with manipulator claws.

Long story short: Ellie operated the claws via green handles (we shot the scenes via 'green screen' to mask and pull in background plates) as I r/c'ed the lights, rudder and propeller.

The closing scene is a cameo of me *****ing that I was taking the miniature back home because the good Doctor failed to pay us. Much good fun with a fun bunch of station guys doing fun stuff, after working hours. We shot live-to-tape. Goofs and all. Otherwise, serious professional people being silly.
