I don't think too many folks here are into CAD drawing, but for those that are, I thought this article posted on the sketchup boards might be interesting. Of course, Sketchup could have used anything to demonstrate slicing through an object, but they chose a submarine. So for what its worth, take a look at this bit of cross section slicing.
