The Official Awesome Sub Photo Contest

At our last DiveTribe meeting, Bob Gaito shared the success that he had with a boat photo contest over on RC Groups and we were universally excited to see what such a thing could turn into here at the Drydocks forums. If you're a DiveTribe member (and everyone should be!), you can view that archived video on the DiveTribe Home Page. If not, get your butts over to the site and sign up!

I managed to put a (tiny bit) of though into the structure, so, hey... let's give this a shot, shall we!? A few rules (and these are open for debate or addition):

    Contest Rules:
    1. If you enter a photo, the sub needs to be yours. If you have a cool shot of someone else's boat, hit them up and get them to post it. This will stop people from simply doing internet searches for RC sub pics and winning with them. The only exception is if you built the boat, but it now belongs to someone else, you can still take credit.
    2. Contest duration is 60 days. Entries will be accepted up to March 15th, 2023.
    3. Photos must include a note about the boat's class, scale and owner name.
    4. Contest categories: We're not going crazy here. Three categories is about all we need to keep track of
      1. Most realistic shot: Well I'll be darned if that doesn't look just like the real thing at sea!
      2. Best action shot: Missiles away? Torpedoes LOS? Emergency blow? Let's see some frothy wakes!
      3. Craziest/funniest: Alligator taking a bite of your boat? Post mission damage? Pale, flabby skipper in wet swim trunks doing the walk of shame with a disabled boat?
    5. Prizes: As of right now the only prizes are ultimate bragging rights, but if this turns into something, and if we can get some generous individuals to step up, who knows what might end up going to the winners!?
    6. Winner Selection:
      1. A panel of a handful of independent judges will go through the thread and select the TOP FIVE photos in each category.
      2. The best five photos in each category will be posted up along with a poll that any forum member can vote on ONCE.
      3. The photo with the most votes will be announced as the WINNER!
