Even though the WEST SYSTEM supplies arrived this weekend and I’m back on PROTEUS answering A/A FLANK, I spent some time evaluating KEY WEST this weekend.
As I said earlier, the DeBoer 688(I) lacks the VLS scribing, at least the one I have. But I did discover upon closer inspection, scribing for the 4 torpedo does exist. But I do know she lacks several other details on the bow and was hoping to check the hull overall for anything else that might be missing. The MSW openings for one thing.
However, the set of plans I originally had have been lost over the years, hoping someone out here can help a shipmate out. Either pointing a source, or lending a set. As I’m not one of those “R/C Model event-ruler carrying judgmental hacks” with respect to how accurate a "running model" is, so even good photos of plans sent via email would help. Sometimes "good enough" has to do or she'll never see the water. But that's me. Willing to pay a reasonable round trip mailing cost for those who would care to lend a set. and they’d be treated with the utmost care.
Here you can see what I did regarding the bow on the Scale Shipyard hull I had, but I have to relocate some features as well. IE. Retractable Cleats
Just to get an idea how impressive she’ll be at the pond, my son’s 1:96 scale BLUEBACK and my "new to me" KRICK U25 gives you the sense of the size I’m working with.
