Having this White Friday (what we celebrate by ignoring Social convention of retail Black Friday) off, I decided to give an update on the Teskey PROTEUS build.
For personal reasons I’m really excited about this one, and getting more so as she takes shape.
The Command and Control (CnC), Ballast (BST), Propulsion (PRP) systems are complete and have been tested and all issues are resolved.
I’m currently fabricating the Power Control and Distribution box, and will turn to her AUX systems such as lighting. Finalize the jet drive installation and ducting. Some fiberglass repair work, and the final assembly and paint can begin. Hope to start by my Companies XMAS shutdown.
As I go along, I test fit the various subassemblies to insure fit and that my order of assembly will work. Maintenance is key during the life of an RC Sub, Dave can attest to that. I had a D&E Miniatures 3.5 last almost 20 years before she succumbed to spider cracks.
So her she stands currently, and how she'll be put together:
Lower Hull-Bottom half:
Not shown in this first picture is the Clippard Gas Blow Solenoid, and the Low Pressure Blower (LPB) Diaphragm pump. Both are installed aft (to the left), of the batteries.
