Hang on there Mate. Is that multi tasking I see. You realise that as a "man of a certain age", multitasking ie. working on Webster AND a November sail, is strictly off limits to you - as far as the younger portion of the population is concerned. Get back into line, eat you soup and stop rocking the boat!
And that sage piece of advice, ladies and gentlemen, comes straight from a resident of a former British penal-colony!
Hey! … getting old ain't half bad: Bingo starts looking good, all old jokes are new to me, and my ear-hair is finally long enough to braid. Now days multi-tasking is walking and chewing gum at the same time.

Jaw dropping to ground..........I do not want your ego to get any bigger (if that is possible), but wow that is so cool. You are the MASTER of the universe.
I also tried to color correct your photo.
Way, way too late trying to keep my ego in check. But, I do so appreciate you working to turn old photos into new. Try these, pal:

That is one crazy designed sub! It will be really interesting to see this run and how it handles. It is also good to see you doing some fun stuff for yourself!
During re-qualification I stood one watch, under instruction, on the planes and helm. My only previous experience on the planes was as look-out/ planesman on a TENCH class boat -- equipped with the old classic bow and stern plane station; a world of difference from the padded chair and control column set up seen on post ALBACORE boats. So, with no practical experience driving a modern submarine from such a station I had no reference to determine if the boat handled any better owing to the 'experimental' bow planes than other boats of the same or like class. But, other guys, who stood that watch on a normal rotation and had been on other such boats said, to a man, that the boat was much easier to control in depth -- particularly in bad weather topside.
However, the sonar guys hated the bow planes (and sometimes referred to the entire bow plane arrangement as, 'the wart') . The ram and linkages of the bow planes were right over the sonar elements, and the banging (particularly in rough weather while at periscope depth) of the operating shaft in its bearings and the constant hiss as the ram moved back and forth made any form of passive detection, classification, and tracking all but impossible. Bad Ju-Ju!
