Made those disks from plexiglas, in total 6, 4 some bigger for the bulkheads and two smaller to create a ballasttank.

<img itemprop="image" data-attachmentid="194581" data-align="none" data-size="full" border="0" src="filedata/fetch?id=194581&d=1776102554" alt="Click image for larger version
Test fitting the smaller disk inside the tube, creating the bulkheads will take some glueing and work on the lathe.

Just completed my first sub 3d print, a Los Angeles Class 688. I worked on subs for 35 years at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine and I specifically worked on the Groton for 1 year on a special project. Lots of fond memories. The print came out beautifully and I hope my paint job did her justice. She looks great on my man cave wall. I printed her full size, about 5 feet long, and it took about 60 hours total print time. The stand also came from the ND and I added a nameplate to say it was the SSN 694.
