I disassembled it to see if I could take the R/C components and put them in a larger submarine. Eventually I decided to try it with an Akula III. After a bit of CAD and print tests, I ended up with the following conversion:



The submarine runs nicely and looks great underwater.

Did some digging in storage and found the SDV... I will be using some of Dave's 2.5" tube hardware and an old 75mhz radio. The linkages and bell cranks are all sorted. I just need to get the cradle and WTC mounted for alignment. I will figure out the WTC internals when all the components arrive.
