Here is a breakdown of the kit.

I decided to start with the base by sanding and prepping for paint.

I used Vallejo metallic paints for most of the build.

Test fitting of the parts

Adding the 1/2 inch bolt made a big difference in securing the two parts together.

The cylinder is ready for paint.
